ON-HIRE SURVEYS
On-hire surveys are performed prior to lease of equipment in order to ensure that the equipment accepted is in accordance with above specified inspection criteria. Any equipment that is presented and does not meet with the inspection criteria if that is rejected or turns back for repairing shop again. For each unit surveyed, an On-hire report is issued with existing repairs and notations marked on the on-hire form.
OFF-HIRE SURVEYS
Off-Hire surveys are performed at termination or EDR/Swap of lease when the equipment has been returned to the leasing company’s depot.
An estimation of repair has been prepared that must be fit with an reasonable price, suitable man-hours labor locally and acceptable working method with purpose meets with owner policy condition such as IICL standards, Cargo-worthy, Sea-worthy or special owner M&R repairing policy. Off-Hire surveys ensure that the estimate for repair is fair and reasonable and that the repair methods indicated are correct and in accordance with the inspection and repair criteria. In addition, the notations and remarks are also written on the off-hire report are compared with the estimate to ensure the correct allocation of costs to each party’s account.
IN-SERVICE SURVEYS
In-Service surveys are performed on the equipment that remains operational within the fleet but has been returned to depot for repair. An In-Service survey ensures that estimated repairs are necessary and in accordance with the above specified inspection and repair criteria as well as agreed labor and material price schedule. The survey also determines whether or not the unit is suitable for continued use or not with recommendation off-hire due to heavy W&T if.
POST REPAIR SURVEYS
Post Repair surveys are performed when repairs to a unit have been completed to confirm that all estimated repairs have been carried out in accordance with the agreed above specified repair method and with the specified repair criteria so as to bring the equipment into an available condition. The depot will be asked to put right any items incorrectly repaired or missed free of charge, any IR or wrong material using will b e rejected estimation and report to owner immediately. .
DEPOT AUDIT
The aim of a depot audit is to ensure that all conditions of depot activity are being carried out in accordance with client working procedures and repairing policy. This involves all aspects of depot activity from gate in, estimating, repairs quality, and documentation included all materials supplying. Depot audits can be carried out at the specific request of the client or be carried out on and on-going basis depending upon the results of the previous audit. It’s very importance for the owner that got more confidence with business relation ship between client and depot.
